Glamping + Rafting

On request from our followers, we have adjusted the Glamping and Rafting Trip as follows and have created an “a la carte” program for both hikers and rafters. Pick and choose which adventure you wish and how much of it you want (option for one OR two rafting days are offered). See pricing grid for various levels and add ons including meals.

Trip Details:
We heard all of the requests and are so excited to announce this epic Glamping and Rafting Expedition in the wilds of Oregon! This trip will be co-lead by avid rafter, Kim Fix, and our founder, Laura. We have teamed up with one of the best rafting outfitters on the Umpqua and assure you that you will be well taken care of during the entire journey whether its one or two days you prefer on the water. Hikers are signing up as well, with some the best hiking trails in Oregon based in this area along Waterfall Row. Most travelers will join at the resort, however we plan to transport those flying in and will be departing from Ashland or Medford (ask about pricing and pick up times). This four day, three night trip officially begins at the resort at 4pm on Thursday, July 11. Optional dinner will be provided, or bring your own food to grill in the Pavilion Area we have reserved for the duration of our stay. For those who are up for a short trip to the local natural Hot Springs, we will head out before or after dinner (depending on everyone’s arrival times).

For rafters, days two and/or three will be spent all day rafting the fast, white water of the Umpqua River with the most rapids per mile in all of Oregon. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of this part of the PNW’s magical wilderness. The Upper Umpqua River region is quintessential Oregon known for its lush, mossy forests, towering cliffs, and crystal-clear waters. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to admire the stunning landscape and spot local wildlife along the way. Lunch will be included.

For hikers, a list and directions of local hikes to those same lush, mossy forests will be provided before the trip. Laura will lead hikes on Day 2 to three of the dozen of local waterfalls with another opportunity to visit the Hot Springs.

We spend three nights at Umpqua’s Last Resort, a quirky Glamping Resort with several levels of accommodations from Glamping Tents to Tiny Houses and Cabins to Retro RVs. Note that the Glamping Tents and tiny cabins have shared restrooms (brand new with heaters, showers, and flushing toilets.) An optional taco bar dinner on night one will be served at the Resort as will continental breakfasts if desired; lunches will be provided by the Rafting Guides; and dinners will be on our own at the Steamboat Lodge 10 miles up the road. After the trip, if you’ve opted for the transfer we will drop you at your vehicle in Ashland or at the airport in Medford (we can even arrange rides to Eugene Airport).

A wide variety of options for for three nights accommodation is available including Glamping Tent, tiny cabins, and furnished Retro RVs and pricing depends on which accommodation you wish to book and how many extras you decide to add to your package (see Pricing Grid). Note that a luxury lodge is located at Steamboat Lodge 10 miles down the road and we can assist you in pricing that for all or part of the trip, or before or after your time with us on this adventure.

A non refundable deposit of $175 is required to hold your first come, first served space.
